At the honoring ceremony held by the Representative Office of the religious authority (marjaʿ) Grand Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Taqi al-Modarresi (may his shadow endure), Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi spoke about the Holy Qurʾan as the best approach and the best remedy for the problems of contemporary life.
The Representative Office of the Marjaʿ al-Modarresi in Bahrain invited those working and those responsible in the Holy Qurʾan Conference to a session of honoring and evaluation, in which the conference's accomplishments were presented and developmental ideas for the coming years were addressed. The session was attended by Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi, Shaykh Habib al-Jamri, Shaykh Muhammad Hasan Al Ibrahim, the writer Ustadh Jawad ʿAbd al-Wahhab, and those responsible for relations and services at the conference.
The session began with a speech by Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi, the general coordinator of the conference.
He began his speech with the noble verse “Indeed this Quran guides to what is most upright, and gives the good news to the faithful who do righteous deeds that there is a great reward for them.” (Qurʾan 17:9)
He emphasized that Allah describes the Qurʾan as guiding to the most upright path, the best way and the finest remedy for human problems throughout time, as this is not restricted to one time rather than another. Therefore the call to act upon the Holy Qurʾan has come from the verses themselves and from the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (a), together with the necessity of holding fast to it on the individual level and on the social level, and the call to apply its teachings, and indeed to work for the establishment of those teachings.
Therefore those working for the sake of the Holy Qurʾan are those who call to it and those who call to the best paths and methods, and their station with Allah is great. The Messenger of Allah (s) said that the Qurʾan is (an intercessor whose intercession is accepted), and Imam al-Sadiq (a) said that the intercessors are five, among them (the Qurʾan).. So the Mighty Book of Allah intercedes for whoever works to apply it and whoever calls to it.
Sayed Al-Mosawi clarified that the Holy Qurʾan Conference is among the directives of His Eminence the religious authority (marjaʿ) Grand Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Taqi al-Modarresi, who sponsors many conferences of Qurʾanic deliberation in several countries; and he explained the benefits of these Qurʾanic conferences and the way to benefit from them, through attendance and dialogue, and publishing the papers in specialized periodicals and independently, to widen the circle of benefit and usefulness.
