About the book:

From the introduction…

The scholars who possess insight have accustomed us, in their books of varied character, or what is sometimes called the kashkul (miscellany), to these books being, indeed, the orchards of the scholars. Your reading of them differs from your reading of other books of miscellanies, because those books are in reality the interpreter of knowledge and insight in the movement and vitality of life: they are the observations of a discerning person, the notices of a thinker, the pointers of a scholar, the counsels of a wise man and the guidance of a trustworthy, experienced one.

Moreover, although they open to their reader worlds of knowledge, goodness and peace, they are distinguished by the merit of enjoyment, which the vitality of the topics lends them, topics varied in their range and concise in their treatment.

In this book, I hope I have taken those steps, and this is what I intended in my writings in it: they are writings that came from the womb of the movement of life and the vitality of the need for them, and attunement with its rhythms; and their words were written in a manner suited to virtual spaces, while traveling, in an airport, a plane, a train, a hospital or a waiting session, or while sipping a cup of tea or frequenting a market, and even while walking in some cases. Yet at the same time I sought precision and attempted objectivity, so that this touring might be the distilled essence of thought with a discerning mind.
