The bulletin “Diratuna”, issued by the al-Fadila Society, published in its sixth issue a reading and review of the book (The Ziyarah of Imam al-Husayn (a): Its Divine Features and Its Educational Effects) by Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi; this is the text of the review:

The Ziyarah of Imam al-Husayn (a).. Its Divine Features and Its Educational Effects
Written by: Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi.
“All a person's steps are his breaths toward death, except the steps with which he sets out toward the sanctuary of Imam al-Husayn (a) as a visitor, for they are the breaths of life, and his breaths toward life.
And all the time that human beings spend diminishes the edges of their lifespans, except the time that visitors spend in the presence of nearness to Imam al-Husayn, kneeling at his pure thresholds, for it is a time that Allah has taken out of the accounts of diminution and deposited in the accounts of increase in lifespans and appointed terms”.
With these words the author, Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi, began his book entitled (The Ziyarah of Imam al-Husayn (a), Its Divine Features and Its Educational Effects), in which he addresses the culture of ziyarah, and especially the ziyarah of Imam al-Husayn (a), by explaining its divine features and its devotional components, and explaining the psychological motives that should be present in the visitor, and the effects the visitor reaps from his ziyarah. This is in order to reach a balanced culture concerning ziyarah, to preserve its limits, to attain the abundance of its effects, and to bring out its landmarks and its essence.
The author explained that the Ahl al-Bayt (a) have spread through the texts of the ziyarat many ideas that chart the path of the believer toward Allah the Exalted, in many aspects, among them:
1/ Laying the correct doctrinal foundation of monotheism.
2/ Knowledge of wilayah and the Imamate and its great station, and setting out the rights and duties toward wilayah.
3/ Strengthening the qualities of faith and upright conduct.
4/ Arousing mission-driven responsibilities and great aspirations in exalting the word of Allah, and taking the sound stance on the two fronts of truth and falsehood.
5/ Strengthening faith in the Hereafter, and raising ambition to attain high degrees in Paradise.
6/ Documenting the most important landmarks of Islamic history, and preserving the most important conflicts that distinguished the divine line from the satanic line.
And other knowledge and insights that can be benefited from in forming firm faith, penetrating insight and upright conduct, for the sake of a good end.
He also presented in the study narrations on the merit of the ziyarah of Imam al-Husayn (a) and its blessings upon the visitor, and some of its seasons and etiquettes.
The first edition of it was printed in the year 1431 AH 2010 CE, in six thousand copies, in the hope that it will be reprinted.
The book was written in its entirety in the second half of the ten days of Muharram al-Haram 1431 AH, from the sixth day to the eleventh day.
