The Ahl al-Bayt (a) satellite channel held a live interview with Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi on the eve of the Arbaʿin, 1431 AH, near the shrine of Imam al-Husayn (a), in which he spoke about the distinctiveness of the Arbaʿin ziyarah among the many ziyarat of Imam al-Husayn (a). He explained that, alongside the dimension of the ziyarah’s great reward, it carries the meanings of condolence: after the tragedy of the tenth of Muharram in Karbala, the mourners come on foot and riding from various lands, in condolence and in commemoration of the calamity. .
Moreover, the Arbaʿin ziyarah is among the signs of the believer, as in the narration, and consequently it has a media dimension: the millions who come for the Arbaʿin ziyarah are declaring to the world their faith and their allegiance, because a sign is the mark by which a person is known, and it is his distinctive feature that sets him apart from others. Imam al-Husayn (a) is the master of the youth of the people of Paradise, as the Messenger (s) said, so attachment to him is the greatest sign of the believer.
