Among the gates are certain times, among them the month of Shaʿban, which is the month of the Messenger of Allah (s), whose merit and status the Greatest Messenger (s) emphasized with his saying: (Shaʿban is my month, so help me with it), that is, benefit from its bounty, for its great merit enables a person to attain the mercy of Allah and His pleasure..
The best deeds in it are fasting, charity and seeking forgiveness, as is reported from Imam al-Sadiq (a). So it is recommended that a person say every day in Shaʿban, 70 times: I seek Allah's forgiveness and ask Him for repentance.. And it is recommended to give charity, even with half a date..
Invoking blessings upon the Prophet and his Ahl al-Bayt is also among the most important deeds; so it is recommended to do it abundantly, in order to attain the intercession of the Messenger (s), and a prayer every Thursday, after which blessings are invoked upon the Prophet 100 times.
