On the occasion of the painful calamity and the sinful attack to which the shrine of the two Imams ʿAli al-Hadi and al-Hasan al-ʿAskari (a) was subjected, a large protest demonstration set out from the village of Bani Jamra in Bahrain, going around the roads of the village and the main street, on the eve of Thursday, 22 February 2006 CE.

Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi delivered an address to the crowd in front of the Ithna ʿAshariyya Husayniyya on this occasion. He denounced this cowardly act and said that these are the progeny of Yazid ibn Muʿawiya, who were accustomed to killing the Ahl al-Bayt and to causing corruption on the earth. However, the blame does not lie with these, given that their hands are clearly stained with blood .. rather the reproach is for those who justify their deeds in the press and on the pulpits; they must stop deceiving themselves .. They are upset if we say that the path of Imam al-Husayn still remains or that the helpers of Yazid are still practicing corruption, and a person must choose with whom he stands .. They are upset by that, as a clear indication that they see themselves as being with Yazid .. We demand of them a very clear condemnation of all terrorist acts, and especially the operation of bombing the shrine of the two ʿAskari Imams (a).
But by this heinous act they only increase us in loyalty and firmness in our adherence to the Ahl al-Bayt (a), and there is no power and no strength except by Allah, the All-exalted, the All-supreme.
