The Qurʾan Conference in Bahrain Discusses the Political System and Examines Ways of Confronting Crises

The Representative Office of the religious authority (marjaʿ) Grand Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Taqi al-Modarresi (may his shadow endure) — in Bahrain
is honored to invite you to attend the Noble Qurʾan Conference in its fourth session, 1431 AH
which will be under the title: (The Islamic Political System in the Qurʾanic Conception).
The eve of Friday, 20/5/2010 CE, at half past eight.
And the eve of Saturday, 21/5/2010 CE, at half past eight.
At the New Maʾtam of Abu Saybaʿ (Bahrain). (A place is reserved for women).

The Representative Office also invites you, on the sidelines of the conference, to attend the Qurʾanic workshop, which will be under the title (The Human Being in the Face of Crises and Trials), creative Qurʾanic insights.
Friday morning, 21/5/2010 CE, at nine o’clock in the morning.
At the New Maʾtam of Abu Saybaʿ (a place is reserved for women).

The conference program will be as follows:
The first night:
An opening address by His Eminence Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi (General Coordinator of the conference) and Director of the Representative Office of the Marjaʿ al-Modarresi in Bahrain.
Under the title (Qurʾanic Deliberation and the Challenges of Identity).
An address by His Eminence ʿAllama Shaykh Muhammad ʿAli al-Mahfuz (Secretary General of the Islamic Action Society).
Under the title (The Political System and the Necessity of Qurʾanic Grounding).
And a research paper by His Eminence Shaykh Saʿid al-Nuri (a leading figure in the al-Wafaʾ Movement)
under the title: (The Islamic Political System between the Qurʾanic Conception and the Man-Made Conception)
And a research paper by His Eminence Shaykh ʿAbd al-Ghani ʿAbbas (one of the scholars of Saudi Arabia)
under the title: (The Islamic Political System between Constants and Variables).

The program of the second night will be as follows:
A research paper by Dr. Rashid al-Rashid (researcher and writer on religious and political affairs)
under the title: (The Jurisprudence of the Constitution and the Rulings of the Islamic State in the Islamic Concept).
And a research paper by His Eminence Shaykh ʿAbd Allah al-Salih (Deputy Secretary General of the Islamic Action Society).
Under the title: (The Islamic State, the Command of the Lord and the Aspiration of Humankind: Its Goals, Its Landmarks, Its Model).
And a research paper by His Eminence Sayed Majid al-Mashʿal (President of the ʿUlamaʾ Council — Bahrain).
Under the title: (The Experience of the First Islamic Government in Medina al-Munawwara: Its Contributions and Its Features).

As for Friday morning, the workshop will take place with the participation of many Qurʾanic societies, institutions and figures, on the subject:
(The Human Being in the Face of Crises and Trials.. Creative Qurʾanic Insights)
managed by the al-Nabaʾ al-ʿAzim Society for the Sciences of the Qurʾan, and taking part in it will be His Eminence Sayed Sajjad al-Modarresi (son of the Marjaʿ al-Modarresi), His Eminence Shaykh Dr. Maytham al-Salman, and His Eminence Sayed Muhammad ʿAli al-ʿAlawi.
And from the institutions, from Bahrain: the al-Nabaʾ al-ʿAzim Society for the Sciences of the Qurʾan, the al-Dhikr al-Hakim Society, and the Iqraʾ Society.
And from Saudi Arabia: the Noble Qurʾan Forum, the Anwar al-Qurʾan Committee, and the al-Qurʾan Nur Foundation.
