It is reported that Imam al-Sadiq (a) said: (Perfection, all perfection, lies in: gaining understanding in religion, patience in the face of calamity, and the measured management of one's livelihood).

Three qualities for the perfection of your personality:

.

1- The necessity of knowing the rulings of your religion, for religion has given a ruling for everything and has encompassed all aspects of life: in acts of worship, in economic transactions, in social dealings, in politics, and others.

2- The necessity of enduring the problems that befall a person, for a person is bound to be exposed to one of the calamities of this world, such as illness, the loss of a relative, a problem in his livelihood or other things; therefore he must not be defeated in the face of those problems, and patience is the way.

3- The necessity of managing one's livelihood in a balanced and sound way, for no one is free of the need to know how to dispose of his wealth. If he spends extravagantly, he loses and stumbles; and if he acts with stinginess and parsimony, he lives in deprivation and straitened circumstances. As for balance and moderation, it is the path to the successful management of one's livelihood.
