My God, the beggars have stood at Your door, the poor have sought refuge in Your court, and the ship of the destitute has halted on the shore of the sea of Your generosity and Your nobleness, hoping to cross over to the courtyard of Your mercy and Your blessing. My God, if in this noble month You have mercy only on one who was sincere to You in his fasting and his night vigil, then who is there for the sinner who falls short when he drowns in the sea of his sins and his iniquities?
.
My God, if You have mercy only on the obedient, then who is there for the disobedient? And if You accept only from those who do deeds, then who is there for those who fall short? My God, those who fast have profited, those who keep vigil have triumphed, and the sincere have been saved, while we are Your sinful servants. So have mercy on us by Your mercy, free us from the Fire by Your pardon, and forgive us our sins by Your mercy. O Most Merciful of the merciful
