About the book:

*Newly published: (Stories of the Qurʾan: Features in the Philosophy of History)*
The al-Fikr al-Risali Center for Studies and Research has published a valuable study titled (Stories of the Qurʾan: Features in the Philosophy of History) by the Islamic researcher His Eminence Sayed Mahmoud Al-Mosawi, one of the scholars of Bahrain.
This study came as a bringing-out of the vitality of history in the Qurʾanic view, through the valuable stories that the Truth, Glorified and Exalted is He, has narrated in His Wise Book. The author set out to enter into the study of the Qurʾanic stories from the angle of the philosophy of history, dealing with the stories of civilizations in the Noble Qurʾan rather than the stories of individuals or others.
After the author recounts for us the history of engagement with the subject of the philosophy of history, he explains the effect of the Noble Qurʾan on that engagement; then he attempts a serious comparison between the Qurʾanic stories and the courses and propositions of the philosophy of history. He includes in the study another section, separate in sequence but connected in subject to the stories of the Qurʾan in their civilizational aspect, and presents reflections on verses of Surat al-Shuʿaraʾ about the story of the people of Thamud and their prophet Salih, under the title (A Qurʾanic Vision of the Course of Civilizations).
This publication, the eleventh in the al-Fikr al-Risali Series, runs to 176 pages in medium format.
The book will be available in the coming weeks in Mashhad, Qom, Karbala and Najaf.
