About the book:
Human behavior is not only a religious, civilizational value; rather, it is an art that requires mastery, and mastery requires awareness of the contents of this behavior, and practice and training of the self in performing it, so that it becomes a spontaneous feature of a person's conduct. Mastering civilized Islamic behavior contributes to forming society and correcting the relationships among its members, so that they proceed in an integrative process to build life in its various fields in the best way that building can be. Imam ʿAli (a) said: “For the hand of Allah is with the community.” It is also a call to the true religion, true values and true behavior, through practicing the loftiest rules of dealing with people, so that it becomes a social manifestation stemming from awareness of the values of religion and its aims; and it is thereby an indirect call to join under the umbrella of this upright religion, as in the hadith: “Be callers to us without your tongues.” Mastering civilized behavior, in a more comprehensive phrase in which all its meanings, starting points and aims are condensed, is the art of practicing life in its best forms. And the art of life… is to master the civilized behavior that flows from the values of heaven to the children of the earth.
